The Crabb Family spent last week in Nashville, TN for Gospel Music Week 2003, where they were involved in several performances, interviews and appearances, including the 34th annual Dove awards.

Downtown Nashville welcomed fans with Crabb Family pictures on billboards and bus stops.

During rehearsal for the Dove Awards, Jody McBrayer of Avalon and Jadyn Maria, a new artist on Sparrow Records, hosted a special backstage show. The Crabb Family was interviewed several times by the two.

Aaron, Adam, Jason, Jonathan and Terah meet up with Third Day lead singer, Mac Powell.

Michael W. Smith was also backstage during dress rehearsal.

Wednesday night at the historic Ryman Auditorium, Southern Gospel was represented during a concert entitled God and Country. The Crabb Family and Mike Bowling performed along side of the Isaacs, the Martins, Barbara Fairchild, Connie Smith, Sharon White, Ricky Skaggs, Anthony Burger and the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet. The night was hosted by Mark Lowry.

Michael English also made a special appearance during the event.

During soundcheck for the Dove awards, a camera crew also checks camera angles for the big night. Here pictures of artists are actually put in the audience, so the cameras will know where to film during the show. The Crabb Family was front and center.

SoGospelNews.com was on hand to present the Crabb Family with plaques. They had been awarded by the SoGospelNews.com fans Mixed Group of the Year, Pacesetter and Country Album of the Year (Crabb Collection).

Amy Marie Unthank and Deon Unthank of SoGospelNews.com also presented Gerald with the Songwriter of the Year award.

The Crabb Family taped a special interview for the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) with Matt and Laurie Crouch before the Dove Awards on Thursday night.
A release party for the Crabb Family's new album, The Walk, was held at Joe's Crabb Shack in Nashville, TN, after the Ryman concert. Several friends and fans gathered to celebrate this event. Gospel Music Television (GMT) captured the release party and hosted games during the night.

Sharon White and husband, Ricky Skaggs stopped by the release party.

President of Daywind Music Group, Ed Leonard made a quick stop at Warner Music Group in Nashville, TN where everyone was introduced to sales representatives from WEA distribution.

While at Channel 5, the producer of the show, Amy, showed us how the weather board works.

The Crabb Family was honored with two Dove Awards during the broadcast for Southern Gospel Album (Crabb Collection) and Southern Gospel Song ("Don't You Wanna Go?".)

Then by 250 other media outlets.

After winning their awards, the Crabb Family was interviewed by Channel 4 news.

Later the group caught up with Vince Gill and Amy Grant who performed during the awards show as well.

The Crabb Family represented Gospel Music Week 2003 on Nashville's local Fox affiliate, Channel 5, during their flagship show, "Talk of the Town." Here they are pictured with host Harry Chapman.
